Brand Photography for AxisHouse at Bobby’s, Bournemouth

Commercial brand photography for a live fit-out in Bournemouth town centre, creating a modular image library for website, LinkedIn, proposals and case studies.

The Commission

A commercial brand photography commission for AxisHouse

AxisHouse is a high-end fit-out and construction business working across the South and in London. When they commissioned a brand photography shoot at their live project at Bobby’s in Bournemouth, the brief had a specific purpose: create a working image library that reflected the quality of the business, not the visual noise of the build.

The project was a fit-out for Trethowans Solicitors, a leading South of England law firm taking new office space in one of Bournemouth town centre’s most prominent buildings. The photography needed to serve a range of uses from the outset: website headers, case studies, LinkedIn content, proposals and pitch presentations.

The Approach

Building a modular image library from a live project

Working in a live construction environment means the photography has to earn its place on site. Nothing can interrupt the work, and nothing should feel forced. The aim was to create images that felt purposeful and visually strong, while staying honest to the working environment.

The brief had a clear visual direction: premium commercial, slightly cinematic. Calm competence rather than construction chaos. The photography needed to communicate standards, systems and the character of the team, not the noise and disruption that construction photography can so often default to.

The Brief

  • Hero imagery showing team walkthroughs and confident body language
  • Controlled action: installing, aligning, quality checking and task briefings
  • Leadership and coordination: supervisor reviews and two-person working
  • Artful details: tools, PPE, materials and finishes
  • Clean zones, organised storage and high standards of housekeeping

Deliverables

  • 50–60 edited images, naturally graded and slightly cinematic
  • 8–10 hero selects for campaign and presentation use
  • Landscape format for website headers and case studies
  • Portrait format for LinkedIn content
  • Detail photographs for supporting brand and proposal content

Commercial Brand Photography

A more considered view of work in progress

The aim was to create a commercial image library, not just a record of the work in progress. The photographs needed to show the environment clearly, while also reflecting the way AxisHouse delivers its work: calm, organised and professional.

Wide images gave context to the space, while closer frames focused on process, detail, body language and finish. Strong lines, available light and clean compositions helped give the photographs a more polished commercial feel, without making the work look staged or artificial.

Safety and credibility shaped the shoot throughout. Nothing was forced, and no one was placed into an unsafe situation for the sake of a photograph. Where light direction was useful, it stayed within the rhythm of the working environment.

The final images show more than the fact that work was taking place. They communicate the way AxisHouse works: organised, careful, professional and in control.

The Location

Bobby’s, Bournemouth

Bobby’s is one of Bournemouth town centre’s most recognisable buildings. The former Debenhams store on Old Christchurch Road has been reimagined as a mixed-use space, with AxisHouse delivering the fit-out for Trethowans Solicitors, one of the South’s leading law firms.

For the photography, the space offered a range of visual environments within a single project. Long corridors with strong leading lines. Controlled work zones with clean backgrounds. The kind of ordered, purposeful activity that rewards a more considered photographic approach.

As a commercial photographer based in Bournemouth, this project was a natural fit. The shoot brought together a prominent Bournemouth location, a live working environment and a clear commercial brief, creating images that AxisHouse could use across their website, case studies, LinkedIn content and future proposals.
