5. Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens – Exotic, Botanical Beauty

Honourable Mention: St Aldhelm’s Chapel – A Unique Jurassic Coast Ceremony Location

Although not a full wedding venue with reception facilities, St Aldhelm’s Chapel near Worth Matravers is one of the most striking ceremony locations in Dorset. Perched high on the cliffs with panoramic sea views and a peaceful, elemental feel, it’s a unique and deeply atmospheric place to exchange vows.

Ceremonies are held inside the ancient stone chapel, but it’s the setting that truly makes it unforgettable — perfect for intimate weddings and elopements.

The surrounding landscape offers endless opportunities for stunning coastal wedding photography, ideal for couples who want something completely out of the ordinary.
