This documentary wedding photography story begins at Charlie’s parent’s home in Ringwood, Dorset. It was a perfect day for the wedding, warm and sunny. The morning wedding day preparations were underway when I arrived. There was an air of excitement as family started to arrive, Charlie was a little nervous but Mom was on hand to help and calm wedding day nerves.
Charlie’s elegant and beautiful Maggie Soterro wedding dress was hung in the window, with the bridesmaid dresses and page boy outfit close by. Everything had been very well organised by Charlie’s Mom. Charlie’s stunning wedding bouquet and flowers were supplied by Simply Flower of Dorset.
The marriage took place in Christchurch at the Latter Day Saints Church and Chris’ Dad took the service. I was originally advised that wedding photography was not allowed inside the church, however one of Charlie’s friends let me know I could take photos inside the building but not inside the chapel. So with a bit of ingenuity and paparazzi style shooting I could document some of the special moments from the hallway and view through the glass doors. It was a touching service, lots of emotion with one of Chris’ friends singing a hymn.
