Katherine and Alex got married a few weeks ago at the rather wonderful All Saints Church in Branksome Park in Poole. As a Poole wedding photographer, this has to be one of my favourite churches. It’s marvellous stained glass windows are a magnificent backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
The morning wedding day preparations started at their home in Alum Chine, where Katherine, Mom, Dad and bridesmaids were all getting ready. Katherine was quite relaxed until she got into her wedding dress, then I could see the realisation in her face that it was almost time. There was a touching moment when Dad first caught eyes on his daughter, all dressed as the bride.
I left everyone at the house and made my way to Branksome Park, which is not too far from Alum Chine. The guests had just started to arrive at the All Saints Church. Alex was a little nervous but his bestman and friends were on hand for moral support. After the wedding ceremony we arranged a confetti photo, top marks to the very enthusiastic throwers, fantastic fun wedding photos!
The wedding reception was held in Christchurch, more details and the concluding photo story in part 2..
