Olivia and Mike’s wedding day was held at Parley Manor in Dorset. There was a lot of concern over the weather report, as it was forecast rain and possible thunderstorms! Even though I’m pretty waterproof and my camera kit is, I placed a special order for some sunshine. Luckily the nice weatherman arranged this and we had a beautiful day. The sun shined over Parley Manor all day, with dramatic clouds in the distance. I think we had our very own microclimate. I might add this as an option to my wedding photography packages for next year 😉
Olivia looked stunning, so elegant and glamorous in her Benjamin Roberts wedding dress. There was a lovely moment when Olivia’s bridesmaids first walked in the room, few tears and lots of smiles. When I arrived at Parley Manor Mike, bestman and ushers had just arrived. Mike seemed a little nervous. Wedding guests soon started arriving ready for the marquee wedding ceremony.
I love the first look moments, fantastic to capture as a documentary wedding photographer. Mike and Olivia’s reactions were heartwarming, true love! The ceremony was touching and joyful. There were lots of raw emotion following the ceremony as the guests congratulated the newlyweds. Following a drinks reception and canapes on the lawn of Parley Manor it was time for the wedding breakfast in the wedding reception marquee. The couple had arranged a fantastic BBQ prepared by Merlins Catering.
