Sarah and Simon’s handfasting ceremony and festival themed wedding took place at Symondsbury Manor in Dorset. The day began with an intimate civil ceremony at the Mountfield in Bridport with close family, best lady and chief bridesmaid. The couple then made their separate ways to get ready for the blessing and wedding celebration.
I popped to the wedding reception venue first, Simon’s production crew were hard at work setting everything up, I then made my way into Bridport town centre where Sarah and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The ladies had their hair styled just over the road from the hotel and makeup was done by Claire Bowring. Sarah’s elegant and stylish Alfred Angelo wedding dress was supplied by Dan Kerr Brides of Preston. The beautiful wedding bouquets were created by Foxley Flowers in Bridport.
Unfortunately some rather typical festival weather began just as the guests started to arrive, luckily my cameras and I are waterproof. The celtic handfasting ceremony was taken by Celebrant David Abel. It was a joyful, good humoured and touching ceremony that ended with Sarah and Simon being tied by the hands with a rope.
