As a Dorset wedding photographer I’ve photographed many weddings in fields and marquees, but this was the first time I have documented a wedding on a working farm. Nicola and James got married over the weekend in the heart of the Dorset countryside and the venue for the wedding reception was on Nicola’s dad’s farm in Martinstown, Dorchester.
On arrival I was greeted by a friendly goat, some sheep, pigs, farm dogs and fantastic shire horses, which were being prepared to pull Nicola’s country wedding transportation, a traditional horse and cart. The wedding marquee was set up in the field just outside the farm house where Nicola grew up as a child. The village church where the couple got married is a short walk and visible over the field. A very quaint and magnificent location for a Dorset country wedding.
The weather was amazing and everyone enjoyed the relaxed, laid back country wedding vibes.
Big congratulations to MR & MRS Humphrey!

Here are a few of my favourite wedding photos from the documentary wedding photography coverage and I’ve included a group shot, where the happy couple are sat on some hay bales.
