A wedding day is of course a celebration of marriage shared with your family and friends. And with any celebration where people are enjoying themselves there are moments of laughter, which can be so contagious. These magic moments are wonderful to observe and capture from the position of a documentary wedding photographer. I really do love documenting people having fun.

Here is one example from a wedding that I photographed last year at The Italian Villa, Compton Acres in Poole, Dorset. This sequence of photos shows some joyful laughter where the wedding guests were talking in the grounds of the Villa during the wedding reception. With careful observations I was able to manoeuvre into position to capture the interaction, whilst remaining unobtrusive so not to interrupt the natural events.
