Beach wedding theme – documentary wedding photography
Sandbanks is such a beautiful location for a wedding reception. The view from the Sandbanks Hotel was an epic seascape looking over the beach to the Purbeck’s in Dorset. The above photo features some of the table decorations that Vix & Simon hand made themselves.
The couple requested some organised group photos on the beach as well as some more playful fun ones. The friends and family encouraged the hat throwing, it became a bit of competition as to who could throw the highest. However a strong cross wind made for a difficult catch! Best man’s speech deserved an oscar! The whole room was in tears with laughter including myself! There was some illegal betting on the speech lengths, the cash pot was quite high for the winner!
When the nighttime celebrations began, one of the couples friends DJ’d, the room was transformed into a nightclub. After the first dance a really good band played modern rock & pop classics, everyone was having a great time. Really enjoyed capturing all the fun of the celebration. It was an amazing day and very honoured to have been chosen as their documentary wedding photographer.

I just want to thank you for the most amazing photos you captured on our special day. To receive them so soon after our Honeymoon was impressive. I am literally crying when clicking on each picture. You have captured all emotions throughout the day and a great memory of what was the best day of our lives.
I knew you were creative from our chats and had heard you were good, yet from start to finish I have been truly amazed by your work and quality. We did absolutely nothing and you have created the best memories we could have asked for. It is great to have got to know someone so great to have around on our day and so passionate about what they do.
I literally can’t thank you enough and am already finding it hard to select favourites for our wedding album. Keep up the great work.

Hello Paul, best man Tom here. Simon told me that he’d looked around at a fair few Bournemouth wedding photographers, and you were far from the cheapest, but he went with you because of your reputation and the quality of your portfolio. Looks like he had it right, we’ve just been looking through the samples on the site and we’re blown away by the images- bringing back some great memories of the day and the evening reception (not nearly enough of the best man’s speech though…). I can see why Victoria is so pleased, and I’m looking forward to seeing the final album. Now just got to save some cash so we can afford you at ours (once I get round to proposing…)
I am seriously impressed with the wedding pictures! They look fantastic, you’ve captured the day perfectly and I have to say that your skills at catching the moment as well as documenting the goings on (including the side betting etc!) brings the collection alive! Aside from the main day the pictures of Oscar and Izzy are brilliant too!
We can’t wait to see all the pictures in the wedding album!
