Kristin and Gerard’s wedding ceremony and reception at Salterns Harbourside Hotel, Poole, Dorset

As all the guests started to sit down there was lots of excited anticipation for Kristin to arrive in the ceremony room. Gerard started to show some nerves after being very clam and collected all morning. Kristin looked beautiful in her wedding gown as did her bridesmaids. Both Kristin and Gerard had giggles throughout the ceremony, it was very sweet and a joy to capture.

It was a beautiful sunny day and quite warm for October, we made our way out to the grounds of the hotel that overlook Poole harbour. Kristin and Gerard requested for some organised groups of family and friends, but kept them informal. Whilst everyone was enjoying the day and chatting, I was able to capture people being themselves and having fun. Kristin wanted to throw her bouquet, which made for a great shot. All her single female friends got ready to catch.

Even though weddings could be considered the same, they are all so different. The unique aspect of each wedding are the individuals that take part, their personalties and own stories. I always enjoy the speechs, its lovely to hear both the touching and funny stories told by family and friends and see everyones reactions, which also make fantastic natural moments to capture.
