A year in the life with the iPhone – reportage and documentary photography
It’s been a while since I’ve downloaded the photos taken on my iPhone. Out of all the cameras and notably the professional kit that I own and use, my iPhone camera is with me the most. It has been many places and seen many things from travelling with my work as a photojournalist and on personal days out, I love looking back through the collection of moments captured.
A theme that always catches my eye when I’m out and about are clouds, I have a fascination with them. The shapes and textures they make are fantastic! Also being a big foodie and photographer I’m prone to documenting the odd meal or two.
iPhone photography is great for convenience and reportage style photos as it’s so unobtrusive to carry. Maybe one day all cameras will this small and easy to carry?
Here are some of my favourite iPhone photos taken over the last half year from my travels, many hotels, cars, planes and few coaches. locations include Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest in Dorset, London and international cities Istanbul, Kiev and Minsk.
