I had the absolute pleasure of meeting 4 day old new born baby Millie yesterday. Baby’s are so fascinating to watch, pulling all sorts of different facial expressions and making cute little noises.

The second part of the shoot we walked over to the bay, with an amazing view of Brownsea Island in the late evening sun.
After taking a few more portraits around the bay we walked up to Evening Hill to watch the sunset. This is where they had part of their wedding celebrations 2 years ago this month. With beautiful views over the bay, this location is a favourite for locals to eat their fish and chips watching the sunset.

Rachel and Darren’s second year wedding anniversary is this month and Rachel is also 6 months pregnant. So what a great opportunity for a combined wedding anniversary and pregnancy ‘bump’ portrait shoot.
Part of their wedding celebrations took place at Evening Hill near Sandbanks in Poole, so we thought what a perfect location to do the portrait shoot. Rachel and Darren are a lovely couple, madly in love, it was a pleasure to photograph them. We spent almost 2 hours taking candid and posed portraits at Sandbanks, Poole harbour and Evening Hill.

I met up with Lizzie and Martin at Upton Country Park in Poole, Dorset. It was a lovely afternoon, though a tad windy at times.
It was their first professional shoot together, after chatting for a while to calm their nerves we started to have a nice walk around the park stopping for some candid and posed images on the way.
During the shoot we talked about the wedding plans for their special day in June 2011. Very excited about some of the details of this wedding, the scooters, straw bails and village fate style evening celebrations.

Lee contacted me to ask if I could photograph him and his boyfriend Charlie as a gift for Charlie’s birthday. They are both based in Bournemouth, Dorset, so there’s no better place than the beach for a romantic, fun and natural couple shoot.
They have been together for 4 years and it was lovely to photograph them both. Here are some examples from the shoot:
Tammy contacted me to arrange a photography shoot of her family. We had a chat about where the kids like to play so we arranged a day to go to Upton Country Park. Tammy wanted some fun and natural family photos different from what she already had that were taken at school and in a studio.

It’s an honour to have the opportunity to photograph proud parents with their beautiful new born children. It’s such a special time for them. I always prefer to travel to them to ensure they are all in comfortable surroundings.
I arranged to visit the family’s home in Southampton, where they wished to have the shoot done.

Nikki and her sons, James and Josh, met me down Bournemouth beach the other day for their family photo shoot. Nikki requested the beach as it’s a place they have spent allot of time being residents of Bournemouth. She wanted a less conventional shoot that allowed the family to have fun and express themselves.
After about an hour of running around and playing on the beach, I captured 100′s of natural and fun images, Nikki remarked that they truly represented her family, “fun…energy…and love by the bucket load”.
Who said family photography had to be conventional?!

Matt and Dave have lived in Poole, Dorset for many years, so Sandbanks and Poole Bay were perfect for their photo shoot.
They had their Civil Partnership only a few years ago, but both wanted some new up to date photos of themselves. We went down to Sandbanks the other evening, even though it was a bit cloudy I managed to get some awesome photos of them and the seascape.
Matt remarked how much fun the shoot was, completely different to their previous experience with photographers. I always like to have fun when I’m photographing, sometimes it helps the more camera shy people relax and enjoy the experience.

Pregnancy is a very special time and it’s great to be able to capture this for expecting parents. Christine called me and asked if I could produce some ‘bump’ photos for her.
I arranged to go to their house in Christchurch, Dorset, where I spent about am hour photographing Christine in the comfort of their own home. We did a few shots outdoors, it was a rather overcast day, but took advantage of the soft light and got some lovely photos.
