Event photographer – Standon Calling Festival – Havana Club

This was my visit first to the music festival Standon Calling. I was commissioned as an event photographer on behalf of the drinks brand Havana Club. They were hosting an event within the festival and required coverage on the Sunday evening.

The brief included capturing the atmosphere and people having fun, artists performing, branding and general production. During the night the Havana Club staff handed out hats and shakers which contained rice for people to use as percussion with the music.

I really enjoyed photographing the event, it was allot of fun with many of the people into the spirit of the festival dressing up in alsorts of costumes! Cool people and great atmosphere.

I was commissioned to photograph Eastern Electrics in London on the 29th May. The brief was to capture the atmosphere and people having fun. As an event photojournalist, you encounter very different locations to work in and different photographic challenges with each location.

This particular event had extremely low light levels, using the latest digital technology and professional optics I was able to capture the atmosphere of the event. Using a variety of lenses to achieve different perspectives allows me to provide a wide variety of images.

Fitness First commissioned me to photograph their PR event in Highbury, London. It was to help brand awareness and advertise their new fitness club that is opening at the old Arsenal football ground. A team of staff from their head office in Poole attended the event together with local staff from the Highbury fitness club.

The brief was to capture the team in action, interacting with the general public, team photos and general location photography during the event.

Event photographer – Fitness First Spitalfields launch party

I was commissioned to photograph the Fitness First London Spitalfields launch party. Their new club had their official opening with a staff and members party. Reportage and documentary coverage was required and a quick turn around time on the images. After some late night post production the press ready image files were provided over night ready for immediate use in the morning.

Fitness First held a PR event at Spitalfields market in London to raise awareness of their brand and new fitness club that was opening in the area. I was commissioned to photograph the event. We arrived early that morning, it was a rather chilly day in November.

The market is a great location to work, great lighting. The brief was to capture the activities of the event which included some staff members dressed in gorilla outfits handing out flyers to the public attached to bananas! The staff were great to work with, it was a great day and allot of fun to photograph.

Lesley’s 40th birthday party

Spencer contacted me to arrange coverage of his wife’s 40th birthday party. It was held in the garden of their house and they had arrange a marque in the garden with entertainment. Spencer wanted images to capture the moment and show the atmosphere of the event.

By using the latest professional digital camera equipment and optics I was able to capture all the atmosphere by recording the ambient low lighting. Remaining unobtrusive I was able to photograph the natural moments and fun during the party.

During a 6 week tour through various cities in the UK, including London, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow, Newcastle, Xbox held live events promoting their products in shopping centres, student nights at local nightclubs and university venues.

I was commissioned to photograph the events and provide reportage and documentary photography. The brief was to capture people having fun playing the games and taking part in the competitions, documenting the production and equipement used at the events, general atmosphere, crowd interest and reactions, creative images with emphasis on dynamic portraiture capturing the moment, variety of shots featuring prominent branding or subtle inclusion of the products.

As part of the service, daily edits with post production were provided for immediate use.

Reken held an event in London at Battersea Park. I was commissioned to photograph the event and to provide editorial styled images, working alongside the film crew and presenter.

I was commissioned by Production Eye to photograph a music event at London Wembley Arena. The concert was Pendulum on their world tour. The photography brief was to capture the atmosphere and the production elements during the gig for promotional use in connection with their event production.

I was commissioned on behalf of Bryant Homes to provide lifestyle portraits, internal and external location photography, event photography around Dorset and Hampshire.

Creative and fun press shots were required for use in the local press and for PR purposes, reportage event coverage, capturing the moment and posed groups. The photos were supplied to the PR agent within an hour of each shoot for immediate use in the press.
