I was invited up to Creamfields as an event photographer, commissioned by Paul Van Dyk to photograph his live music event ‘PVD Evolution’.
The brief was to capture the production, atmosphere and Paul Van Dyk performing. Unfortunately it was rather wet and muddy at the festival, luckily I managed to stay inside the tent most of the time.

This was my visit first to the music festival Standon Calling. I was commissioned as an event photographer on behalf of the drinks brand Havana Club. They were hosting an event within the festival and required coverage on the Sunday evening.
The brief included capturing the atmosphere and people having fun, artists performing, branding and general production. During the night the Havana Club staff handed out hats and shakers which contained rice for people to use as percussion with the music.
I really enjoyed photographing the event, it was allot of fun with many of the people into the spirit of the festival dressing up in alsorts of costumes! Cool people and great atmosphere.

I was invited back as an official photographer for the Global Gathering music festival this year. It’s always allot of fun to photograph with so much going on, great atmosphere and fun people to photograph.
The brief was to capture the key elements of the event, artists, production, atmosphere and anything that catches my eye. During the event I provide an on site editing service for immediate upload to the official website and for press use. Through various digital post production techniques, the images are enhanced and given a creative finish.
Throughout the 2 day festival I opted to use no camera flash, maximising on capturing the true atmosphere of the event and all its colour.

It’s my 4th year back to Global Gathering in Kiev, Ukraine. The weather was hot and sunny, with a beautiful sunset. The foam stage was there yet again with people having allot of fun dancing in the bubbles! 
The people in Kiev have always been great fun to photograph. They make allot of effort and turn up in all sorts of festival outfits, making the event very colourful.
My brief was to capture people in the moment, natural reactions and some informal organised groups. Documenting the production and atmosphere throughout of the event. Include event branding where possible. The images are used internationally to advertise the event, brand and corporate sponsors.

Belarusians are lovely people with lots of enthusiasm for dance music. The Global Gathering festival held in Minsk is one of my favourites. Loads of fun with some great moments to capture.
The commission was on behalf of the organisers and brand sponsors, providing event coverage throughout the day, capturing natural emotions and reactions, production, branding and atmosphere.

It was the music festival Escape into the Park on Saturday in Swansea, Wales. I was commissioned to photography the event. The event has 10,000 festival goers that enjoy a mix of dance music. This year the headlining acts on the main stage included Tinchy Stryder, Yasmin and Chipmunk.
Providing a mixture of lifestyle portraits, informal group shots, production and atmosphere photography throughout the day, capturing the moment as it happens.

Slammin Vinyl’s Sanctuary festival is a hard dance festival, this year was held at Catton Hall estate in Derberyshire. It is a very colourful and energetic festival. I was commissioned to photograph the event as an official photographer.

Festivals and festival photography can be allot of fun, especially when it’s nice and sunny Have been lucky this year with some lovely blue skys. Escape into the Park is held at Singleton Park in Swansea. I have been invited back as the official photographer for a number of years.
It is one of the smaller UK dance music festivals, however it always has allot of atmosphere and the people are great to photograph and has always been one of the more colourful festivals.

Global Gathering is such a fun dance music festival. I have been taking the official photographs for many years and have always enjoyed the event. Great mix of people and usually very sunny being held in July.
I certainly keep fit running around the festival site, capturing the crowd and artists in action. Photojournalism and reportage photography of festivals provides lots of opportunities to be creative and requires good skill to get it right.
The formula to capturing the right moments is: observation - anticipation - document. Crowd stalking is essential to get the best shots!
The event this year featured Faithless, Dizzee Rascal, Bloody Beetroots, Above and Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.

I was commissioned by DJ Mag to photograph the dance music festival Mystery Land in Holland. It is one of the more unusual and quirky music festivals with many types of genre of music and lots of fun and alternative stuff to get involved in.
Mystery Land is one of the oldest running music festivals in Holland and is held in Haarlemmermeer on the grounds of the former Floriade. It was allot of fun to photograph with many interesting people and acts. The production on the main outdoor stage and the Q-dance stage provided some of the best opportunities for production photographs.
