Documentary wedding photography in Poole, Dorset.
It was the morning of Kristin and Gerard’s wedding, beautiful blue skys and sunny weather. I popped over to see Gerard at their home in Poole. His best man was there with him, both chilling and watching the rugby, like it was any other Saturday morning! The Pooh bear with the googles is very special to Kristin and Gerard, so I chose this to photograph their wedding bands.
On arrival at Salterns Harbourside Hotel, I made my way up to the flat where Kristin and her family were staying. I was greeted by two 9 year old twins, who are part of Kristin’s extended family. Both extremely inquisitive and full of energy, I was immediately questioned about all sorts of things, the hair and makeup ladies also received the same treatment.
With even more family and friends arriving it was a very different atmosphere to Gerard chilling at home. There was lots to photograph with all the wedding day preparations. From the flat balcony there are beautiful views over Poole bay and Brownsea Island.
Here are a few of the photos from the morning:

Civil partnership photographer | Bournemouth civil partnership ceremony
Civil partnership photography of Rob & Roger’s special day.
It was the morning of the civil partnership ceremony at Bournemouth Town Hall in Dorset. Their family and friends had started to arrive so I captured everyone catching up before the ceremony. Rob likes to tell jokes and funny stories, which made for some great photos of everyone enjoying themselves. It was a lovely service, Rob and Roger have been together for 13 years and their love for each other really showed.
We spent a little time after the service getting some groups shots that Rob and Roger wanted, then we let the guests make their way to Cafe Shore for their afternoon meal together. In the meantime we made our way to Sandbanks to get some romantic couple portraits and scenic shots of them together. They requested to have some of their photos taken with the beautiful seascapes, as they are looking to move down to Dorset over the next few years and really love the area.
It was lovely to have been part of their special day, here are some of the photos from the civil partnership ceremony and couple portraits:

Reportage wedding photography of Kristin and Gerards wedding day. It was a very busy morning in the flat at Salterns Harbourside Hotel where Kristin was getting ready. I took this shot as her sister and Mom both helped to get Kristin’s wedding gown fitted, whilst two of her page boys were in the hallway.

Civil partnership photography in Bournemouth | Civil partnership photographer
Here’s a photo that was taken last weekend for Rob and Roger’s civil partnership. We were lucky with the weather, it changed from early morning grey clouds into a beautiful sunny day. After the ceremony they wanted some photos taken at Sandbanks in Poole, as they had arranged their afternoon celebrations to take place at Cafe Shore.

Event photographer | Music event photography on location in South Africa

I was commissioned as an event photographer to photograph a music event in South Africa. Godskitchen hosted the main stage at the H20 Party in Johannesburg. The brief was to capture the atmosphere, the event from various perspectives, close ups of people enjoying the event and the main stage production.
The South African people were very enthusiastic bunch, managed to get some great natural shots of people enjoying the music. It was quite a unique venue for a large music event as it was part waterpark. After travelling half way around the world however, prepared with only shorts and T-shirts, ironically it started to rain at night then thunder storm. When I left the UK everyone was enjoying the 28c+ temperatures, hottest on record for October! I was blamed for bringing the ‘English weather’ with me a few times!
Didn’t stop everyone enjoying themselves. The rain also made for some interesting photos with the lasers.
Here are just a few of the event photos from both the day and night:

Dorset wedding photographers | Poole wedding planning
I am delighted to have been chosen as Kristin and Gerard’s wedding photographer. They are due to get married this week at Salterns Harbourside Hotel in Poole, Dorset. They both were keen to have documentary wedding photography throughout their day, to capture natural moments, the atmosphere, friends and family celebrating their marriage.

We met up the other week for a pre wedding shoot, it’s a great way for some practice before the big day and catch up with all the wedding plans. Kristin asked for the shoot to be down the beach, as its one of their favourite places to take a walk and enjoy as a couple. It was a bit windy but we had a nice walk and a chat, very much looking forward to meeting their family and friends after being told some funny stories and documenting their wedding day.

Civil Partnership Photography | Bournemouth Civil Partnership photographer
Roger got in touch to arrange photography of their civil partnership in Bournemouth, Dorset. They live in London, but Roger’s family are based in Dorset, so they booked the civil partnership ceremony at Bournemouth Town Hall.
Both Rob and Roger have never had any professional photos taken before and were rather apprehensive about having their photo taken. So I offered a complimentary couple shoot so they could get some practice before the big day. We met up for a coffee before the shoot, Rob has a great sense of humour and is the more mischievous partner. We spent some time chatting and getting to know each other before we had a nice walk through Bournemouth gardens.
After spending about an hour photographing and chatting, they were more comfortable about having their photo taken and I was able to get some nice natural shots capturing their individual personalties and love for one another. Very much looking forward to photographing their civil partnership.

Dorset wedding photographers | Romantic couples photography on location at Compton Acres, Poole

I was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph Rachel and Fazer on location at Compton Acres in Poole. Rachel contacted me to arrange the couples photo shoot, it was their first professional shoot together.
Compton Acres in Poole is a lovely place to explore and a popular wedding venue in Dorset. The beautiful gardens allow for many great locations to have romantic portraits taken. The Italian Villa is idilic for celebrating a wedding. There are even views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island from within the gardens.
Rachel and Frazer are both fun loving people, playful with great sense of humour. It was a pleasure to photograph them and capture their love for each other.

Location photography in Poole, Dorset | Dorset photographer

It was such a lovely day yesterday, we decided to go for a nice walk in the evening around Poole Harbour and Sandbanks in Poole, Dorset. I took my camera kit with me as I expected a nice sunset, the sky was very clear and the changing colours of the setting sun were already visible around 6.30pm.
We spent about an hour watching the sunset, the different colours in the sky, clouds expanding and becoming softer in shapes, different reflections in the water as it rippled with the change in tide. It was amazing to watch and see how things evolved from sunset to dusk.
Here is a small selection from the evening of my favourite landscape and seascape photos:

Food photography on location in London | London photographer
Location photography in London at The Cabin. Commissioned by the design company in charge of their new website. The brief was to photograph both interior and exterior of the restaurant, detail shots and some food photography. We visited the location at different times of the day so we could photograph the venue empty, general location and food, as well as the opportunity to capture the atmosphere of the evening dining.
I was lucky enough to sample some of the food and can highly recommend the mussels and Wagyu beef burger.
